WHAT'S THE
HISTORY
The Strigi Loddo family has been deeply rooted in the art of shoemaking for multiple generations, carrying forward a legacy of craftsmanship that spans over 50 years. This enduring dedication has shaped UBE Studio’s identity, blending heritage with innovation.
A testament to this rich history is the monument Il Calzolaio d'Italia (The Shoemaker of Italy), where the child's face depicted is that of Francesca’s grandfather—an enduring symbol of the family's commitment to the craft.
With extensive international experience, Francesca founded UBE Studio to continue this tradition while embracing contemporary design and technical advancements. The studio quickly became a trusted partner for brands seeking high-quality, trend-aware product development.
At the beginning of 2025, UBE Studio expanded its vision by opening a boutique in Milan’s Isola district. This space serves as a bridge between past and present, showcasing a curated selection of the studio’s archive alongside the archives of its clients, creating a unique retail experience that celebrates craftsmanship and design.
